Audit lifecycle
An audit is opened, counted, reviewed, approved, posted, and closed. Variance remains evidence even after a correction. High-risk differences can require a recount, separate approver, or linked loss/quality/custody investigation.
Maintenance lifecycle
A work order is opened, assigned, in progress, completed, and verified for return to service or another lifecycle outcome. An asset can remain unavailable, quarantined, or retired after work is closed.
Verification
Before returning property to availability, verify actual condition, test/calibration evidence where needed, responsible actor, and the current physical location.
