Locations and Logistics Structure
Model facilities, bins, docks, staging, vehicles, quarantine, and transit consistently.

Use a hierarchy people can verify
Start with a site, then add useful child locations such as warehouse, zone, aisle, bay, rack, shelf, cage, dock, staging lane, vehicle, quarantine area, or virtual transit location. Avoid vague entries such as “somewhere in storage.”
Location profiles
Where enabled, record capacity, compatible categories, security level, handling restrictions, and pick/putaway sequence. These details guide work but never excuse a missing physical verification.
Containers and transit
A container is not merely a location label. It has its own identity and membership history. A shipment records planned and actual transfer facts; packing, dispatch, receipt, and unpacking are separate events.
