Actor Accountability and Access
Understand the difference between the signed-in actor and the person accountable for property.

Four people can appear in one operation
The actor is the signed-in person who performs the system action. The accountable custodian is responsible for the property. A receiver or witness confirms a physical handoff when required. An approver authorizes a controlled action. AMS records these roles separately.
Automatic actor lock
The server derives the actor from the authenticated session. Operators cannot type, replace, or erase the actor. Self-checkout makes the signed-in person accountable too. Checkout to someone else retains the operator as actor and requires acknowledgement or an approved witnessed exception.
Access rule
Use only the permissions required for the work. Sensitive corrections, disposal, ownership changes, major variances, and finance controls can require step-up authentication and a separate approver.
