AMS documentation follows the same product-docs structure as Event Management: start with the operating model, follow a task guide, use a screen guide while working, then use lifecycle and reference pages to verify the outcome. AMS is currently marked Preview in the Workspace; use these pages to evaluate and operate only the capabilities enabled for your organization.
The Asset Management System is a standalone, organization-scoped Workspace feature. It is not tied to an event, report, registration, shop, or Pawsport. It answers what Furries PH owns, what it only holds for someone else, how many items exist and remain available, where they are, who is accountable, and what they cost over their life. The technical routes use /assets; “inventory” means only the count-and-location capability.

Recommended reading paths
New operator
- Read What is AMS? and Ownership and custody.
- Complete Set up AMS before registering live property.
- Use the relevant Basics page with the Workspace open.
- Check the related lifecycle and reference page before handing a record to another operator.
Operations lead or reviewer
- Start from the relevant Operations surface or lifecycle page.
- Confirm who is the actor, accountable custodian, receiver, and approver before acting.
- Keep the proof listed in the guide with the source record; do not replace a discrepancy with an edited quantity or value.
Key pages
- Set up AMS - Establish categories, locations, people, agreements, and review controls.
- Register an asset - Choose the right register, identity type, and evidence.
- Checkout and return - Issue, acknowledge, extend, transfer, partially return, and close custody.
- Transit and containers - Pack, dispatch, hand off, receive, and resolve discrepancies.
- Overview - Understand the live register, summary totals, and exceptions.
- Logistics Hub - Direct receiving, work, holds, docks, and replenishment.
- Finance - Keep operational facts distinct from policy-approved economics.
- Standards and interoperability - Use ISO, GS1, NFC, EPCIS, CSV, JSON-LD, and accounting adapters without overstating conformance.
Operating rule
Custody does not prove ownership, and physical location does not replace accountability. Every scan and action records the signed-in actor; every checkout, handoff, count, and correction must retain its supporting evidence and verification result.
