Overview

Shop Config is the event setup page for turning on an event merch shop. It owns shop enablement, global shop open and close dates, whether a registration is required by default, pickup and delivery availability, source-linked add-on and inclusion listings, manual standalone merch, categories, couriers, preferred courier setup, courier rates, and per-listing selling limits.

Do not add shop availability controls inside Rego Config. Rego Config remains the source of registration tiers, add-ons, and inclusions. Shop Config decides which of those existing add-ons or inclusions become standalone shop products.

Enablement

ControlWhat it doesCheck before using
Enable shop for this eventMakes the public shop available when listings are active and the global shop window allows ordering.Do not enable until listings, delivery, payment methods, and support copy are reviewed.
Shop opens / Shop closesOptional global ordering window for the whole shop.Use this for public launch and close dates. Per-listing windows can still narrow availability further.
Require rego to order by defaultRequires buyers to have an event rego unless an item overrides the rule.Keep enabled unless the event explicitly accepts standalone public merch orders.
Enable pickupAllows onsite claim or pickup fulfillment.Make sure Shop Order Claim staff are assigned.
Enable deliveryAllows delivery checkout and courier-rate calculation.Add at least one active courier rate before advertising delivery.
Default delivery countryDefault country selected through the partners geo API for delivery-rate forms.Use PH unless the event has a documented international delivery policy.
Shop instructionsBuyer-facing or operator-facing checkout guidance.Include payment, pickup, delivery, and support expectations.

Shop Config is separate from coupon and affiliate eligibility. Enabling the shop does not automatically make every coupon or affiliate code valid for shop checkout. Open Attendee Coupons and Affiliates Tracking and opt in only the specific codes that should apply to shop orders.

Listings

There are two listing sources:

Listing sourceUse forNotes
Add from rego itemsExisting registration add-ons or inclusions that should also be sold standalone.Uses the source item’s name, description, image, and shared stock by default. Shop price and availability are set here, not inside Rego Config.
Add standalone merchProducts that exist only in the shop.Use this for separate shirts, stickers, prints, bundles, or event merch not tied to registration. Upload the product image from this modal.

Create at least one category before adding active listings. Category assignment is required so public browsing, item analytics, and shop order review can group entries consistently.

Drag category or item rows by the dotted handle to set the public order. The arrow buttons remain available for keyboard and precise one-step movement. Saving the order is atomic: an invalid or stale list is rejected instead of partially applied.

Adding and editing a shop item uses the same full editor. Operators can change its category, public name, price, image, description, question set, quantity rules, stock behavior, fulfillment mode, purchase window, registration requirement, pre-order behavior, and active state without switching to a reduced editor. Custom questions use a visual add/remove/reorder builder; raw JSON is not required.

For each listing, review:

FieldWhat it controls
CategoryRequired browsing group shown in the shop.
PriceShop price used by checkout and platform-fee calculation.
Per-cart quantity limitMaximum quantity one person can add to one cart.
Total sale limitMaximum total quantity that can be sold for that listing across all active shop orders.
Per-person lifetime limitStricter buyer cap across all of that person’s active transactions and carts for the listing.
Require event regoItem-specific override for whether a rego is required.
Stock behaviorShared source stock, shop-only stock, or unlimited stock.
FulfillmentPickup only, pickup or delivery, delivery, claim-only, or digital. No mode is selected by default when creating a listing.
Product imageUploaded product image shown in the public shop.
Purchase windowOptional listing-level start/end date that blocks early or expired purchases even when the global shop is open.
Custom questionsItem-specific short text, paragraph, or dropdown questions collected during checkout. Reorder by dragging or using arrows.

Delivery and couriers

Delivery uses event-scoped courier records. Each courier can be marked preferred and can have independent rates. Add couriers first, then add rates from the courier card, following the same provider-and-account pattern used by Payments Config.

Country and region fields use the partners geo API. PH island group rates only appear for the Philippines. If delivery is disabled, delivery-related courier and rate controls should be hidden or disabled. If no active courier rate matches the buyer’s country or region, that destination is unavailable at checkout.

Supported rate types:

Rate typeUse for
Flat rateOne delivery amount for a courier.
Administrative regionCountry-region pricing, with the Philippines as the default country.
PH island groupSeparate Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao pricing for the Philippines.

Different couriers may have different rates for the same region or island group. Configure each courier independently.

Payment, fees, and discounts

Shop checkout uses the event’s configured payment accounts and fee rules. The checkout quote should show item subtotal, delivery fee when applicable, platform fee, provider fee, VAT or surcharge behavior where configured, discount amount, and final payable total.

Config areaWhat to verify
Payments ConfigAt least one active payment account is available for the shop checkout path.
Attendee CouponsOnly coupons with Applies to shop orders enabled can discount shop carts.
Affiliates TrackingOnly affiliate codes with Applies to shop orders enabled can discount or attribute shop carts.
SettlementsShop platform fees are included in event settlement balances and should be reviewed with registration platform fees.

Do not promise a shop discount publicly until the matching coupon or affiliate record is enabled for shop orders. Regular rego eligibility, gifted rego eligibility, and shop order eligibility are separate decisions.

Use Shop Orders Dashboard to monitor sales and logistics, Shop Orders to review payments and update order status, Shop Order Claim to release paid pickup orders, Inventory Tracking to reconcile source-linked stock, and Settlements to remit platform fees.

Common mistakes

  • Do not enable the shop before payment methods and delivery rates are ready.
  • Do not duplicate add-on or inclusion products manually when the source-linked listing should share stock.
  • Do not create active listings before categories are ready.
  • Do not disable rego-required checkout unless support staff know how standalone buyers will be verified.
  • Do not rely on Rego Config for inclusion shop pricing or separate-sale availability; set those in Shop Config.
  • Do not advertise delivery regions without a matching courier rate.
  • Do not assume a coupon or affiliate code applies to shop checkout just because it works for registration.
